Remarkable presence of IP PReVENT subprojects at AMAA conference in March
This year, the AMAA conference, which took place in Berlin last March, was well visited by international experts.
Extra public attention was given to the demonstration day before the actual conference started. Several early versions of IP PReVENT demonstrator vehicles were available for demonstration of active and preventive safety applications. The participants were given the chance to experience future safety systems like Pre-Crash, Lane keeping, Emergancy braking and others. Most of these systems are under development within IP PReVENT activities for a better integration and use of the information coming from different sensors equiped on the vehicle.
On the first day of the conference, a special session was dedicated to the IP PReVENT subproject INTERSAFE and it's new approach for intersection safety. The PReVENT presence at the AMAA was also completed i.e. by the presentation of Aris Polychronopouls on SAFELANE system design and a contibution to the poster session by Bosch on "REDUCING UNCERTAINTIES IN PRECRASH-SENSING WITH RANGE SENSOR MEASUREMENTS".
