APROSYS-PReVENT Workshop on "Intelligent Safety Systems"

Participation in the workshop included members of the IP PReVENT management and CoreGroup, as well as subprojects APALACI, COMPOSE, and UseRCams.
In the framework of the EUCAR's Integrated Safety Programme, it is intended to establish a link between the IPs APROSYS and PReVENT. To start this cooperation, the APROSYS SP6 "Intelligent Safety Systems" and PReVENT organised a common workshop 15-16 March at the Fraunhofer Institute for Durability in Darmstadt, Germany.
The event's objective was to exchange information and coordinate several activities regarding front and side pre-crash protection systems. The main focus of the workshop was on accidentology (relevant scenarios) for front and side crashes, front and side pre-crash protection system concepts, system architecture for front and side pre-crash systems, as well as sensing system and actuator system requirement testing concepts.
