A set of applications demonstrated how drivers can wisely choose and maintain their vehicle’s speed in various situations, and follow a distance adapted to the road and speed. These applications offer a new level of safety and comfort with better protection from any immediate dangers on the road. Safe speed and safe following applications will be demonstrated with:

• Five vehicles working collectively on a rural track to provide wireless local danger warnings such as slippery roads, obstacles, road works or reduced visibility.
• Two cars that suggest a safe and comfortable distance to the vehicle ahead, offer an appropriate speed for different driving conditions and provide information on the relevant speed limit.
