Executive Summary
Within the framework of the PReVENT vertical sub-project MAPS&ADAS discussions were held with both industry partners and public authorities concerning prioritisation of attribute requirements for digital maps for safety-related ADAS applications. These discussions resulted in a priority list of eight attributes: legal speed limit, traffic sign, lane information, traffic light, crossing with other modes (pedestrian, bicycle, railway), accident hot spot (or accident risk location), slope (or road gradient) and banking (or superelevation). This document analyses for each of these attributes if and how these are covered in the current GDF (Geographic Data Files) standard (GDF 4.0), and proposes where needed additions to the standard.
