Technical Abstract
The deliverable "Project Presentation" aims to describe the project concept, objectives and expected results and provide an overview of the work to be performed within the three years of the duration of LATERAL SAFE. LATERAL SAFE is a subproject of PREVENT Integrated Project and belongs to the function field "Lateral control
and driver monitoring".
LATERAL SAFE and the twin project SAFELANE cover critical and safety issues related to lateral control. The former deals with lateral collision, lane change assist
and lateral/rear monitoring, whereas the latter deals with lane keeping and road departure warning applications.
The deliverable is public and is part of the dissemination plan of PREVENT and LATERAL SAFE in order to promote and disseminate the results of the work and the research carried out.
