Abstract:
Three demonstrators have been developed within INSAFES. The demonstrators implement different integration strategies and different sets of safety functions. The report describes the demonstrators, their main components and functionality.
Demonstrator 60.1, the VTEC truck demonstrator, concentrates on lateral support and is equipped with components to monitor the forward and lateral areas around the vehicle.
Demonstrator 60.2, the CRF car demonstrator, focuses on all-around collision warning and longitudinal support. In order to cover the entire area around the vehicles several sensors are installed on all four sides of the car.
Demonstrator 60.3, the VCC car demonstrator, has the emphasis on HMI and is thus equipped with different HMI components. Since the HMI is tested using real world scenarios and not only simulations, several ADAS applications are also integrated.
