D14.1 Demonstration Scenarios
The Deliverable D14.1 contains the description of all demonstrations presented at the IP exhibition. It was published in the form of a thorough Demonstration Handbook printed in 2500 copies and distributed to the PReVENT IP exhibition participants. After the IP exhibition, the Demonstration Handbook has been
used to illustrate the results in practical terms to the public i.e. show the research results and new technologies implemented in real vehicles.
D14.2 IP Exhibition report
Executive summary
IP PReVENT will reach the end of its activities in March 2008; a central element of the conclusion has been the presentation and dissemination of PReVENT results. As part of the dissemination activities, the IP management has chosen to organise the IP exhibition in an interactive and attention-grabbing way to reach high level executives, experts and the general public.
The exhibition has contributed to the general awareness and increase future market and demand for the preventive and active applications. The objective and motivation to target the general public in particular results from the need to create public awareness regarding an issue of great interest: the development of
technologies which will increase traffic safety and therefore reduce the number of road accidents and fatalities. By showcasing a large set of preventive and active applications, the IP consortium has reached its expectation to contribute to the preparation of the market and future demand for this kind of technology.
This report on the IP exhibition is a summary of the event with some organisational aspects which could be taken as guidelines for similar events in the future.
