The ADASIS Forum General Assembly was organised on 23 June 2005 at in Brussels with a large participation of Members coming from car manufacturers, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suppliers, navigation system suppliers and map makers. Last results of MAPS&ADAS with regards to the ADAS Interface and the safety-enhanced digital maps were presented and reviewed by the ADASIS Forum members.
The objectives of the ADASIS Forum for next year 2006 were discussed and agreed with the major objective to ensure consolidation and continuation of the standardised ADAS Interface development including submission to ISO standardisation bodies. The increasing interest from commercial vehicle manufacturers lead to the creation of a dedicated Task Force that will explore specific requirements and coordinate accordingly the extension of the ADAS Interface concept.
