Outstanding participation of IP PReVENT at ITS World Congress in London
IP PReVENT presented the latest functional subproject results in a series of four special Sessions and thirteen technical presentations.
The PReVENT special session was chaired by Fabrizio Minarini, European Commission Project Officer. The aim of this session was to provide an overview of the different demonstrations developed in PReVENT, moreover the first results of the testing of the applications implemented were presented with a focus on different test scenarios and the lessons learnt from the tests.
The other Special Sessions on Common Architecture and integration of ADAS (with ISP contributions), Sensor data fusion for safety applications (Fusion Forum), and the map interface with its ADAS Horizon (ADASIS Forum) attracted a large audience.
IP PReVENT subprojects (MAPS&ADAS, RESPONSE3, SASPENCE, LATERAL SAFE, COMPOSE, ProFusion2, SAFELANE, INSAFES, INTERSAFE) participated in 13 Technical Sessions covering the technical aspects.

Fiat Stilo at European Commission Car Corner The Fiat Stilo demonstration car developed by Centro Ricerche Fiat within IP PReVENT. demonstrated the preventive and active safety functions investigated in the LATERAL SAFE and APALACI subprojects and features lateral and rear monitoring systems, lane change assistant, lateral Collision warning, collision mitigation and pre-cash functionalities
INTERSAFE VOLKSWAGEN Phaeton On the Excel Boulevard, the IP PReVENT INTERSAFE Volkswagen Phaeton displayed how advanced object detection and high precision localization can enhance safety at intersections. The experimental vehicle is fitted with video sensors,
INSAFES VOLVO S80 The experimental car is equipped with HMI concepts for many of the applications developed within INSAFES and IP PReVENT. Different HMI concepts were demonstrated for lane departure warning, collision warning, rear end monitoring, Blind spot indication with lane change assist, curve overspeed warning and all around monitoring.
