IP PReVENT meets ERTICO Public Authorities Platform
The ERTICO Public Authorities Platform had its first meeting of 2005 on 22 February at ERTICO. Platform Chairman Reiner Wünsch of the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing led the meeting, which welcomed more than 30 participants.
A large part of the morning discussed the Public Authorities’ conclusions from the 2004 ERTICO Think Tank in Portugal - namely public outreach possibilities, traffic info, RTTI and eCall. ERTICO CEO Olivier Mossé underlined the importance of the Think Tank as a unique opportunity to listen to Partners’ needs, work on public outreach possibilities and achieve consensus between the private and public sectors.
The afternoon session of the meeting was devoted to a presentation about the EC-supported PReVENT Integrated Project. ERTICO Project Manager Maxime Flament provided an in-depth overview of the project and the Platform gave its consensus on the project’s activities. Platform members were invited to participate in the IP PReVENT consultation group and also encouraged to participate in the PReVENT exhibition slated to take place at the end of 2007, by featuring their respective national activities related to preventive safety.
The next Public Authorities Platform meeting will take place on 21 June 2005 at ERTICO.
