As a horizontal activity within PReVENT Integrated Project, MAPS&ADAS aims to support Vertical Subprojects (or functional subprojects) that are implementing the ADAS Interface concept in their application.

A very successful support workshop was organised on 15 June 2005 at Centro Ricerche Fiat in Orbassano with representatives from IP PRevENT suprojects MAPS&ADAS, SAFELANE, SASPENCE, LATERAL SAFE, INSAFES and also EC-funded AIDE IP part of the Integrated Safety programme. From application requirements, participants agreed on a consolidated list of safety attributes to be integrated into digital maps. MAPS&ADAS is in the development phase of the ADAS Interface that will be tested and validated this autumn and will start soon the production of digital maps of PReVENT test sites.

MAPS&ADAS had also a meeting on 17 June 2005 at BMW in Munich with representatives of PROFUSION 2 to consider digital maps as a predictive sensor and take advantage of the standardised ADAS interface to access to map data.
