PReVENT presents research results at Information Fusion Conference
PreVENT, represented by the subproject ProFusion2, presented three research papers at the 9th International Conference on Information Fusion that took place in Florence, Italy on 10-13 July 2006.
The objective of the conference was to provide a forum to discuss advances and applications for fusion technologies. The PReVENT contribution focused on sensor data fusion algorithms and on fusion architecture. The three papers revised the standard Joint Directors of Laboratories (JDL) data fusion model that describes universal fusion processes, fitting it to automobile architecture and applications. The revised JDL model includes perception hierarchies and coordination of the different layers, integration of function and HMI management systems.
Following the conference, representatives from the International Society of Information Fusion (ISIF) have joined the PReVENT fusion forum community.
