Technical Abstract
PReVENT as an Integrated Project contributes to road safety by supporting the development process of active safety systems. The INTERSAFE subproject covers the analysis of intersection-related accidents, sketches ideas for accident prevention and will finally provide solutions for enhanced intersection safety.
This report describes the communication architecture with its components, functions and requirements and shows the test results of a first implementation of the communication system. Moreover the capacity and scalability of the communication system is evaluated by simulation and some approaches for further
development are described. This deliverable is closely linked to D40.63a “BMW demonstrator” and D40.77 “Testing and Evaluation”.
