Executive Summary
COMPOSE, as one sub-project of the integrated project PReVENT, has developed safety functions for the protection of road users in rear-end crashes and systems to mitigate the effects of accidents with pedestrians in urban areas. The addressed accident scenarios have been derived beforehand from an extensive accident analysis resulting in the specification of the collision mitigation systems to be developed within COMPOSE.
