Technical Abstract
The goal of the subproject COMPOSE in the PReVENT Integrated Project is to develop a prototype for a collision mitigation and road-user protection system for cars and trucks.
Three different demonstrator systems are to be developed within the project; Pre-crash/road user Protection system for cars, Collision Mitigation for cars and Collision Mitigation for trucks. This document will summarise the system concept and the system architecture for the three safety systems targeted in this subproject.
Firstly, the system architecture of COMPOSE is presented from a common point of view. The system requirements regarding modularity, scalability and automotive constraints are described. Additionally, an overview to the data fusion concepts is given.
Finally, a description of the different implementations of the three demonstrator systems is given.
