Technical Abstract
This Deliverable is produced in the context of SWP60.400 “System configuration and system components” and its main objective is to define the INSAFES system. The system configurations of the INSAFES demonstrators were described. This report also includes the required components to realize the different functions. Besides the two main demonstrators from CRF and Vtec an additional demonstrator from VCC will be used mainly for HMI purposes. Furthermore DC will use a vehicle to develop and improve Hazard Warning functions. To achieve the INSAFES objective to integrate several safety applications, different sensor technologies have been selected.
The chosen components were described for each demonstrator. The INSAFES project follows the PReVENT safety application architecture. The main steps “perception, decision and action” were followed and the details of the different layers were shown.
